1. Wildcats 30 Years of Experience

We bring to the team extensive experience in adventure touring:
We have extensive experience in preparing adventurous routes, coordinating logistics and preparing GPS routes.

John has travelled extensively in Mongolia on a mountain bike and is familiar with the terrain, the people, and the weather.

We have travelled extensively unsupported, overland in the remote areas of many countries. This has presented us with many unique challenges and difficult situations to solve on our travels.

2. Route Planning & GPS Tracks

a. Mongolia Route Panning:

The route selected through Mongolia is based on our experience travelling through the country and provides great wilderness riding.

b. Stans & the Pamir Highway
Route Planning:

The route selected includes a challenging ride along the Pamir highway (the second highest road in the world). It runs close to the borders of Afghanistan and China and we have therefore considered the appropriate border crossings and terrain when selecting the route.

High quality detailed Maps of the countries visited with the proposed route marked up are supplied to all participants.

GPS Tracks of the route including overnight stops, Points Of Interest & Fuel stops are included in your package.

3. Border Crossing Assistance & Experience

Wildcat has extensive knowledge and experience in dealing with a wide variety of difficult border crossings and will assist all team members at the borders.

N.B. The border crossings may be time consuming and difficult in some cases

4. Visa & Letters of Invitation (LOI) Information

All participants are supplied with information on the visas, type required (multi, single, double entry etc), and the duration for each visa along with Letters of Introduction (LOI) where required.

5. Air Freight Coordination.

We assist with the documentation for air freighting of your bike, and with advice on preparing your bike for air freighting.

N.B. Our representative in Mongolia, who speaks English and Mongolian, assists with the importation of our motorbikes into Mongolia.

6. Emergency & Recovery Assistance in Mongolia

Wildcat through our Mongolian agent will assist in the recovery of a bike and rider in Mongolia in the event of a breakdown or injury.

7. Language & Route Assistance in Stans

Wildcat has an agent based in Almaty. Our agent speaks Russian and English and is a keen offroad motorbiker himself. His first hand knowledge of the terrain, road closures, and location of suitable repair/servicing shops is invaluable.

8. Training & Ride Weekends

Participants attend several training & ride out weekends

Items for discussion include bike prep, spares to pack, clothing, preparing yourself physically (& mentally), first aid, team building, security training, etc

OFFROAD EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Offroad experience is essential for participants joining our Mongolia Expedition.

We therefore recommend you have ridden our
Morocco Overland Tour or
our Morocco Expedition Training Tour
as a benchmark (or have similar riding experience).

Our Mongolia to UK Expedition will be challenging and will require a wide range of skills. On our expedition we will ride in desert, high altitude plains, canyons, over high altitude passes, and in heat & cold (-5 to +40C).

Good mental & physical preparation is essential.

We use MOROCCO for our TRAINING as it offers the perfect type of terrain, and weather conditions which will closely simulate those which we are likely to encounter in
Mongolia and the Stans.

We believe that the best way to learn
is to actually experience it!

We leave the books & classroom at home -
99% of the training is hands on in the field experience
