Our 25 years' experience riding throughout Morocco enables us to provide an exciting combination of superb road and offroad riding with options to suit all abilities.

This adventure tour is designed specifically for solo riders using GS & large Adventure / Big Trailie motorcycles

SUITABLE BIKES:
BMW GS series, Honda Africa Twin, KTM Adventure series, and Yamaha Tenere are some examples of suitable bikes for this great tour.
Offroad tyres are required

We have been riding offroad in Morocco
for over 25 years!

MOROCCO - a paradise for the offroad adventure motorcyclist. An unspoilt land of amazing contrasts, magnificent mountains, forests and desert landscapes.

Join us for an unforgettable adventure and explore the remote tracks, high passes, valleys and spectacular gorges of the high Atlas Mountains, Jbel Sarhro, and the fringes of the Sahara.

We pass through Berber villages and witness a way of life unchanged for centuries.

We take the time to visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait BenHaddou - the magnificent village of kasbahs on a mountainside made famous by many classic films.

Before we finish our ride in Morocco we visit the most famous and vibrant of the Imperial cities - Marrakech.

A typical day's riding starts at 8am and we reach our destination around 4pm.

TERRAIN

Our tour is a mix of road and offroad riding. The offroad sections (pistes) are generally landrover width. The surfaces are a combination of hard packed (hamada) and gravel roads. There will be dry riverbed crossings with a combination of sand and gravel. Any water crossings will be very shallow and short. Offroad tyres are essential.

The pistes in Morocco are always changing due to weather and upgrading in many areas.
What might have been suitable to ride a month ago may be totally washed out and impassable today.
With our intimate knowledge and experience of the mountains/desert pistes over 25 years we are able to adapt our routes to suit changing conditions.

Day 1 - Tarifa southern Spain
Meet our hotel near Tarifa, Southern Spain at 19:00hrs for a tour briefing and introductions.
Overnight in hotel with private parking.
(Riding down through Spain - Call us for advice on route and accommodation including ferry options pre/post tour - if you are trailering your bike to southern Spain you may leave your vehicle/trailer at our hotel in southern Spain)

Day 2 - Into Africa - Middle Atlas Mountains
Our adventure starts with a short ferry to Morocco and a ride down the Atlantic Coast. Moving southeast we pass through the Imperial city of Meknes to our quiet village in the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas. Enroute we have the opportunity to visit the Roman site of Volubilis.

Day 3 - High Atlas Plateau
Our day starts with a great ride through the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas with the odd barbery ape swinging in the trees. Continuing south on asphalt mountain roads we finish our day with a spectacular offroad section through rugged mountains terrain.

Overnight in magnificent kasbah-style hotel with private parking.
240km / 150 miles (includes 30 miles offroad)

Day 4- High Atlas Mountains
A great adventurous ride through the magnificent High Atlas mountains. We pass through numerous berber villages enabling us to observe the Berber way of life unchanged for centuries. Our ride alternates between surfaced and unsurfaced (piste) roads over some of the highest and most remote passes in Morocco.

Day 5- Jbel Sarhro - Day Ride or REST
An unforgettable ride through the volcanic mountains and gorges of the Jbel Sarhro. A great combination of road and offroad riding in this wild rugged area. Enroute we visit the famous Todra gorge.

Day 6- High Atlas / Sahara
Today's ride is an incredible one through a series of deep hidden canyons where we exit onto the high desert plains. We continure south to finish on desert pistes alongside the great Erg Chebbi - the highest dune in Morocco

Overnight in a desert Riad with pool overlooking the dunes.

Day 7- High Desert plains
A classic high desert plains ride along the southern edge of the Jbel Ougnat mountains. After lunch we follow the trails of the nomads on small pistes through remote villages and palmeries.

Day 8- Dakar Piste / Desert oasis
A challenging ride through classic desert landscapes on variable surfaces. We ride on some of the original Paris-Dakar pistes to our desert town in the Dra Valley.

Day 9 - Draa Valley
A rollercoaster ride on the pistes of the Dra Valley through the largest palmeries in Morocco. time to explore an ancient kasbah before crossing the Jbel Sarhro to our magnificent kasbah overlooking the High Atlas.

Day 10 - AitBenHaddou - Day Ride or REST
A day ride on the pistes of the High Atlas plains visiting the World UNESCO site of AitBenHaddou. Film set for numerous films -" Gladiator", "Kundun", "Lawrence of Arabia"

80km / 50 miles (includes 25 miles offroad)

Day 11- Tichka pass - Marrakech
We traverse the High Atlas Mountains over the Tizi-n-tichka pass - one of the most beautiful rides in the world to the imperial city of Marrakech. You will have the late afternoon to relax by the pool or explore the city.
After dinner you may visit the unforgettable Djemma el Fna square with its numerous stalls, jugglers, story tellers, and snake charmers. A sight unchanged for centuries.

Day 12- Out of Africa
An enjoyable and scenic ride north to Tangier on the new motorway. Afternoon fast ferry from Tangier to Tarifa.

To book this Morocco motorbike tour please print, complete and send along with your £300 deposit.

On booking you will receive a package with Kitlist, and Morocco Travel Information. The final balance of your holiday is due 3 months prior to departure at which point you will receive a full map of Morocco with the route marked up.

When we meet you will receive a map providing a detailed description of each day's ride, highlights, and accommodation address and telephone numbers.

The Level 1 Motorrad Offroad course is the benchmark for joining our tour along with several years touring on the road.

Our tour has been specifically designed to appeal to riders with a moderate amount of road experience and the basic offroad experience described above.

Our clients are mature riders and are interested in enjoying the scenery and the culture in wild unspoilt places.

The route provides an ideal combination of exciting surfaced roads and easy offroad riding in the mountains and the desert.

The route is set up to accommodate Trail bikes 400 to 1200cc.

PROTECTIVE RIDING GEAR
You MUST wear:

• Body armour (chest,knee,elbow,shoulder,back)
• enduro type jacket
• enduro type trousers
• enduro boots or similar - the boot MUST protect your full shin and calf - sorry no walking boots allowed
• gloves
• helmet (with chin guard) - sorry no open face helmets allowed
• goggles if your helmet does not have a visor
• camel bak type drinking system
