Want
to ride your big adventure bike offroad? Then read on... Our
25 years' experience riding throughout Morocco enables us to provide an exciting
combination of superb road and offroad riding with options to suit all abilities. Join
us for an unforgettable journey and ride from the Atlantic to the Sahara on the
high passes, valleys, and gorges of the Atlas Mountains. We ride some of the fantastic
desert sections in the Dakar Rally. On
tour there is absolutely no pressure - you ride at your own pace. We will have
plenty of rest stops throughout the day to catch your breath, take on food &
fluids and admire the incredible views. The focus of this tour is on enjoyment
- it is not a race!
We enter Morocco and ride to the
Imperial City of Marrakech before heading East to Agadir on the Atlantic coast
where our 'journey ' begins. From
the Atlantic Coast we ride east through the Anti Atlas Mountains and desert pistes
to Merzouga below Erg Chebbi; Morocco's highest dune. Our route follows
the pistes of the Jbel Sahro to Ouarzazate.
Our 'journey' ends with
an incredible ride over the Atlas Mountains back to Marrakech and finally north
out of Africa. 

OUTLINE
ITINERARY: (Wildcat Adventures
reserves the right to alter the route based on weather & piste conditions
and experience/fitness of the group):
Day
1 - Meet at accommodation in Tarifa, Southern Spain at 19:00hrs for a tour
briefing and introductions. Overnight in hotel.
(Riding down through Spain is quick and easy. Call us for advice
on route and accommodation including ferry options pre/post tour) Day
2 - Clear Moroccan Customs, Ride down motorway to Marrakech (visit city highlights
time permitting). Overnight hotel with pool. 350 miles
Day
3- Ride to Agadir on Atlantic Coast. Overnight Hotel with pool. 168 miles Day
4- Anti Atlas Mountains & Berber villages - Ride spectacular trails into the
heart of the mountains through valleys and gorges and small Berber villages. Overnight
hotel with pool. 150 miles (100 miles offroad) Day
5- Anti Atlas & Gorgeous Gorges - An exciting ride through a canyon system
with a palmary, fruit trees, patchwork fields and ancient Berber forts high in
the cliffs. Overnight in small desert town (hotel with pool). 100 miles
(90 miles offroad) Day
6- Jbel Bani Mountains & Desert Towns - We ride part of an old Paris-Dakar
route through the Jbel Bani Mountains onto a high plateau. Overnight in a magnificent
Kasbah (2 nights) overlooking the High Atlas Mountains. 162 miles (160 miles
offroad) Day
7- The foothills of the High Atlas Mountains - A day ride on easy trails with
a few river crossings to the explore the exotic Kasbahs of Ait Ben Haddou. They
were background in famous films such as Gladiator, Kundun, Laurence of Arabia
but to name a few. A photographer's dream! You may opt to stay at your accommodation
and have a complete rest. 62 miles (55 miles offroad) Day
8- Jbel Sarhro & the Draa Valley - We cross the Jbel Sarhro and follow the
River Draa and its long ribbon of Palmeries to our small Berber village in the
foothills of the Jbel Sarhro. Overnight in traditional Kasbah with pool. 178
miles (60 miles offroad) Day
9- The Saharan
pistes & Erg Chebbi - An unforgettable ride winding its way east through the
mountains of the northern tip of the Sahara desert. Overnight in a desert Kasbah
overlooking Erg Chebbi (Morocco's highest dune at 500 ft.)
2 nights. 150 miles (70 miles offroad) Day
10- Rest Day or optional short day ride. Tonight we feast with our friends
of the desert accompanied by Berber music. Overnight
in a desert Kasbah overlooking Erg Chebbi Rest

11 - Gorges of the High Atlas - We ride north on desert pistes to the town of
Erfoud (famous for its fossils) then North through a series of canyons & river
crossings to our Berber village in the High Atlas mountains. Overnight in
mountain auberge. 175 miles (50 miles offroad)
Day
12 - The Land of a thousand Kasbahs - Adventure motorbiking at its best through
Morocco's two most famous gorges (the Todra & the Dades). We are treated to
spectacular scenery, ancient villages, and grand kasbahs. Overnight in mountain
auberge. 137 miles (70 miles offroad) Day
13 - Valley of the Roses - A great combination of road and offroad riding takes
us through the foothills of the High Atlas mountains to the valley of the roses
on the high plateau. Overnight in Kasbah overlooking the High Atlas mountains. 140
miles (120 miles offroad) Day
14 - Marrakech - An incredible ride over the Atlas Mountains to the Imperial City
of Marrakech. Overnight in hotel with pool. 137 miles (27 miles offroad) Day
15 - Ride out of Africa.
An enjoyable and scenic ride north to Tangier on the new motorway. Afternoon fast
ferry from Tangier to Tarifa arriving 19:30hrs Spanish time. Overnight in
hotel. 350 miles Day
16 - Bid our farewells until next time This morning

Offroad mileages can be increased or reduced to suit the group's fitness and experience
TERRAIN Our
tour is a mix of road and offroad riding. The offroad sections (pistes) are generally
landrover width. The surfaces are a combination of hard packed (hamada) and gravel
roads. There will be dry riverbed crossings with a combination of sand and gravel.
Any water crossings will be very shallow and short. Offroad tyres are essential. 
BIKING
PROFILE: Riding
conditions in Morocco are exciting and can be challenging due to the dry atmospheric
conditions and strong sunlight. The Berber people are friendly and drivers are
courteous A typical
day's riding starts at 8am and we reach our destination around 4pm Offroad
experience is essential (Please call us for advice).
We can vary our route to suit experience and fitness. This
adventure tour is designed specifically for solo riders using GS & large Adventure
/ Big Trailie motorcycles SUITABLE BIKES:
BMW GS series, Honda Africa Twin, KTM Adventure series, and Yamaha Tenere are
some examples of suitable bikes for this great tour. Offroad
tyres are required (you will NOT wear them out riding to/from UK)

On
booking you will receive a package with MOROCCO FAQs, Kitlist, and Morocco Travel Information.
The final balance of your holiday is due 3 months prior to departure at which
point you will receive a full road map of Morocco with the route marked up. When
we meet you will receive a map providing a detailed description of each day's
ride, highlights, fuel points, meeting points, and accommodation address and telephone
numbers.

Offroad course is the benchmark for joining our tour along with several years
touring on the road. Our
tour has been specifically designed to appeal to riders with a moderate amount
of road experience and the basic offroad experience described above. Our
clients are mature riders and are interested in enjoying the scenery and the culture
in wild unspoilt places. The
route provides an ideal combination of exciting surfaced roads and easy offroad
riding in the mountains and the desert. The route is set up to accommodate large
Trail bikes ie 600 to 1200cc.
