1.
I want to join your tour - what next?
To
secure your place on the tour please send us the required deposit per person along
with your completed booking form(s).
BOOKING FORM
On
receipt of your deposit we will send you a letter of acknowledgment along with
details pertaining to required documents and Booking Conditions for your reference.
The
final balance of your holiday is due 3 months prior to departure at which point
you will receive Turkey Travel Information, ferry tickets, Outline Itinerary,
road maps of Turkey & Europe with route marked up, accommodation address and
telephone numbers.
We
will give you a full tour briefing when we meet as a group. While on tour, John
and Brigitte will give you a short briefing prior to setting off each morning.

What Documents do I Need?
You will need your Full motor cycle driving
licence, an International Driving Permit (IDP), valid passport, personal and vehicle
insurance documents V5, your motoring association or equivalent breakdown numbers.
In the UK you may purchase an IDP from any major postoffice. You will need passport
size photos and your passport to obtain an IDP.

What are the Passport / Visa / Entry Requirements?
For entry into Turkey with a UK passport a visa is required and is purchased
at the border. You must have a valid passport with an expiry date of no less than
6 months from your date of entry.
4.
Will my motorbike insurance cover me for travel in Turkey?
Please contact
your insurance company to ensure cover is provided in Turkey. If your current
insurer does not cover Turkey please contact us for advice.
5.
Will I be carrying my luggage all the time?
Yes.
6.
Is it safe?
Absolutely! The people are friendly and courteous.
7.
What if I get sick while on tour?
You must ensure that you have sufficient
insurance cover to have you and your motorcycle repatriated to your country of
residence should you be unable to ride at all due to illness.
8.
Do we ride as a group?
We do
not ride in a convoy but rather in small groups with each group establishing their
own pace and style of riding. You may ride alone, in small groups, or decide to
ride with the guide.
9.
How much experience is required?
All riding is on tarmac roads.
Experience
in touring abroad is not required and your guide will ensure that you are given
the correct advice and care. It is essential that you are comfortable riding your
motorbike and that you ride your own style and pace – we’ll take care of the rest.
10.
What distances do we cover each day and do we have rest days?
Please
see tour details for information on daily mileages and rest days. The route is
designed and mileages calculated to accommodate terrain, climate, temperature,
and points of interest. Adequate time is provided to relax and take photos.
Wildcat
Adventures reserves the right to alter the route as conditions prevail to accommodate
changes in politicle environment, weather, terrain and physical condition of participants.
The leader's decision is final. Any information provided by Wildcat Adventures
on such matters as road conditions, distance, hazards, terrain, climate, etc is
given in good faith but without any responsibility whatsoever on the part of Wildcat
Adventures.
11.
Will my bike be secure at night?
All our accommodations are selected
with bike security in mind. We do however recommend that you bring your disc locks
or security chains.
12.
What tools / spares do I need to bring?
We recommend that you bring
spares such as bulbs, fuses, tube, puncture repair kit etc. A comprehensive kit
list is included in your tour package.
13.
What happens if my bike breaks down?
Some
Insurers will provide Comprehensive emergency breakdown and recovery in Europe
including all of Turkey. On booking we will provide you with details. It is essential
that you obtain the cover prior to starting the tour. In the unlikely event that
these services become necessary the client would be responsible for all associated
costs incurred including accommodation, meals, telephone charges, etc.

What if I have a serious accident or become ill?
We
will arrange to have you transferred to a hospital and if necessary repatriated.
Your repatriation insurance (item 23) will be worth its weight in gold at this
time.

What happens to the group if the above delay should occur?
No
one is left behind. We deal with such incidents as a group and everyone is expected
to accept this.
14.
What range should my fuel tank have?
You should be familiar with your
fuel tank range and this should be in the region of 200 miles as a minimum. Each
day we will provide you with details on the distances to the filling stations.
N.B. It is not necessary to carry additional fuel cans/jerry cans on your
bike.
15.
Will I have access to cash machines / banks?
Money is easily obtained at most ATM machines, banks or currency exchange
offices. Travellers cheques can be exchanged at most banks however Euro cash is
preferred. The New Turkish Lira (YTL) is the currency used in Turkey.
16.
How much money do I bring?
While travelling through France, Italy,
and Greece the Euro will be applicable. A moderate sum to cover lunch, dinner,
snacks, and fuel will be required. Fuel can be purchased on all major credit cards.
While travelling through Turkey - Euros are accepted in many places however
in the more remote areas YTL are required.
17.
Will I be able to use my credit card?
Yes.
18.
What are the accommodations like?
All our accommodations we have selected
are clean, comfortable, have parking areas for our bikes, and serve excellent
food. We use quality traditional accommodation.
19.
What if I must cancel and cannot join the tour?
It
is advised that you purchase trip insurance to cover cancellations, injury, etc.
We have BOOKING CONDITIONS which we provide
with all bookings. Your deposit secures a space on the tour and is non-refundable.
20.
What if Wildcat Adventures cancels the tour?
We will use our best endeavours
to ensure that there are no cancellations but reserve the right to cancel the
tour should the minimum number of person stipulated within the tour details not
be met. In this case all monies will be refunded minus a small administration
charge. Please refer to our booking conditions for full details.
21.
What about my payment protection?
Wildcat Adventures is a bona fide
tour company. All eligible payments are held in trust in accordance with the EU
package holiday directive.
22.
What if we get delayed in the Ferry crossings?
We cannot be responsible
for any unforeseen delays in ferry crossings. In the event of a delay you will
be responsible for providing your own meals and accommodations.
23.
Do I need travel and holiday insurance?
It is a condition of our holidays
that you have full travel insurance including medical insurance, repatriation,
and cancellation cover, including recovery for your motorcycle. Travel insurance
would normally cover repatriation of the people covered within the policy and
not any vehicle. However a good bike insurance policy would cover the repatriation
of the person and the bike. Individuals should enquire from their bike insurance
company on the precise cover for countries visited as cover may vary from country
to country.
24.
What bike is suitable for the trip?
Trail, Touring and Sports Bikes
are suitable for use on the tour. Minimum capacity 600cc is recommended.
25.
Will I have access to unleaded fuel?
Yes. At each morning's briefing
we will advise you on the fuel points to use enroute.
26.
Is this tour suitable for pillions?
Absolutely. All riding is on surfaced
roads*. We have designed our route to allow for rest/café stops and plenty
of photo stops. There are many attractions to see along the way and we take the
time to visit them.
*Some
historic sites may require easy offroad riding.
27.
How are women riders perceived?
The same as the male riders.
28.
What is the food like?
Turkish food is always cooked fresh and offers
an excellent variety of meat and vegetarian dishes
29.
What are the temperatures likely to be?
You should expect temperatures
to be between 20-30 celcius on the coast and 15-25 celcius in the mountains.
30.
Who will be our guides and what sort of experience do they have?
John & Brigitte (pillion) lead all the tours.
They have travelled to Turkey on motorbike numerous times. Both are full time
& experienced guides and John is the managing director of Wildcat Adventures.
John has led tours for over 25 Years.
31.
How do I get down through France to meet up with the group in Chamonix?
We
meet at our hotel in Chamonix on the first night of the tour (7PM) for a tour
briefing. The French motorway is the fastest way down.
32.
What is INCLUDED in my holiday?
A
route which has been fully researched to give you the best motorcycling roads

33.
What is NOT included in my holiday?
Lunches,
other meals and beverages except as indicated in item 32 above, Turkish visa,
parking fees, tips to waiters etc,
petrol, tolls, travel / bike / breakdown insurance, items of personal nature,
balloon ride, entrance to tourist attractions, local guides.
